SPECIFICATIONS AND DESCRIPTIONS:
This is a Robotic welding system intrgrated into a hi-production
'welding cell'. Incoming parts are indexed to steel pallets at a
central loading station. There is a Siemens Transfer Car which runs
horizontally along five palleted pickup stations, traverses off the
main line and into the correct station, picks up the desired parts and
transfers the parts to the main line to the MTA-160 orbiter manipulator
unit. This is a fully automated and computerized operation. Parts and
the welding operation is constantly tracked either by touch sensors or
laser tracking devices through the cell. The entire system is OSHA &
ANSI compliant with all required safety devices and interlocks, light
beams, etc in place.
