DESCRIPTION
These machines can be set up to do, internal grinding, external grinding, and hard turning.
The part is held by each vertical spindle and the cutting tools in each of the turret stations machine the part.
These machines were making automatic transmission parts where the part was automatically fed into the machine spindle #1 where a light hard milling operation was conducted removing approximately .015
#226;€ of material. The part was then transferred and flipped 180 degrees where the inside diameter was machined to size.
